Fortress Explorer Society is an independent, 

self-governing, voluntary, and

non-profit making organization set up to

promote a wider appreciation and understanding

of the art and science of

military architecture and fortification.

The Society seeks to transmit its objectives

through published and electronic media and 

through the establishment of a museum dedicated to

military architecture and fortification.
